Replacement for a over cooking range exhaust motor
I am looking for a suitable replacement for an old through the wall kitchen exhaust fan motor. The old one is a following:
Universal Electric Co. Totally Enclosed Air Over motor
Mod. JA2C009G#
Size 3.3”x2” Single shaft 1.5”x1/4”
Two ¾” length mounting studs on the rear side
115V, 60Hz, 0.66A, 1550RPM, CW, 2 prong plug
I spent substantial time googling it and even ordered one from Amazon. Unfortunately I couldn't find JA2C009G or exact match and the one I ordered did not fit mounting hardware and was not completely closed. Wires come to a huge hole that would allow cooking grease get inside. So I did not dare to install it and was going to send it back. Can someone help me to find a suitable one?
Thank you,
Leonid

Andy,
Thank you very much for your advice. Unfortunately there is no any motor shop near my work place and my schedule makes it problematic to get to one in near future.
I found a cross reference tool :
http://www.centuryelectricmotor.com/...Reference.aspx
It gave me AO Smith model 20 but it does not look like my old JA2C009.
Kind regards,
Leonid

Try Graingers ......they have a large line of replacement motors. They have or can replace almost any motor......and you'll pay for it. I started looking for your motor in the locator system.
They have a dozen or so branches in your state.
