50 Amp RV hookup wiring question
Hello,
I have a new 50 amp hookup installed for my RV. I am replacing my house batteries. I checked the wiring of the outlet and I see there is no white wire. The installer jumped the ground from the rounded connection to the connection where the white wire is supposed to go. I have searched the forums and don't see an answer to this. Is this acceptable? What problems can this cause?
Thanks

Was this originally a 30 amp RV receptacle he tried to convert to 50 amps? If so for a variety of reasons it can't be done. I'd suggest you ask for your money back and hire a real electrician or let us walk you through the install.
