Campbell Hausfeld 240V compressor

I hooked mine up today and plugged it into the same plug I use for my dryer. The motor turned on and ran good for about 15 seconds until it started getting a load from the compressed air. After that the motor was clicking off and on. I shut it off and now don't have any idea what to do. The breaker is a 30 amp and the plug is a 3 prong with one of the prongs bent into an L shape if that helps. Sorry to highjack the thread but since it's the same compressor I thought it wouldn't matter.

Welcome to the forums.

I moved your post to it's very own thread since it sounds like you have a different problem with yours.

Does your motor run hot ?
Does it sound normal when it's running ?

I'm guessing you checked to see that it was indeed wired correctly for 240 volts.
