Lightbulb Similar scenario, another [LV] transformer question

Separted from: http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...er-inside.html

The house I live in has a 100 watt transformer mounted in attached garage, and 12awg wiring runs outside to low voltage landscape lighting. Wiring was damaged so I am looking to replace.

I found transformer manual and it notes it can be used for 1) spa underwater lights indoors or outdoors, and 2) landscape lighting outdoors only. Why can the former be installed indoors while the latter can not?

Thanks

It may be just the way the manufacturer paid to have the item tested for its listing. However, that does not relieve you of follwing the instructions.

Welcome to the forums!

I found transformer manual and it notes it can be used for 1) spa underwater lights indoors or outdoors, and 2) landscape lighting outdoors only.
Do you think the manufacturer might be saying that the transformer can be used to power the lights for either an indoor or an outdoor spa, but only for outdoor landscape lighting?

Buster I have moved your post to its own thread. It gets confusing when you piggyback on someone else's. Who know who is answering what to whom.

Nashkat1, good point. Here's the wording directly from the manual. I have the PX100 model. Which do you think it means - that I can't install the transformer indoors for use for landscape lights, or I can't install landscape lights indoors and use this transformer! And if it's the latter, is there any restriction or concern mounting this transformer indoors in my garage?
