Light replaced by exhaust fan light combo woes

Replacing light to light/exhaust fan combo in bathroom.

Currently, light doesn't work and switch won't turn off the fan. Fan will run constantly if not turned off at main breaker.

From house there is a 3black, 3white , and 3bare wires.

1 set goes to main power, 1 set goes to master bedroom, 1set goes to light switch in bathroom.

Fan/exhaust there is 2 white wires, 1 black wire , and 1 blue wire.

Current hook up all black wires connected, blue wire from fan connected to white wire from light switch (house), other 4 white wires connected together.

Black wire of power and black of the cable to the bedroom should be connected with the white* of the cable to the switch.

Black and blue of fan should go to the black of the cable to the switch.

White of the fan, White of the hot cable, and white of the cable to the bedroom should be connected together.

*The white wire of the switch cable should be relabeled red or black (or any color but gray or green) on both ends using tape or felt tip marker.
