Neon plug blowing up in the kitchen for second time, need advice

Hi

Most of the equipments in the kitchen have built in plugs with neon light on them. A few weeks ago, one blew up when I switched the boiler on. An electrician came and said it was neon blowing, not the circuit and replaced it. Today i switched the oven on and the oven plug neon blew up with a fair amount of smoke. The oven doesn't work.

Could it be a faulty electricity in the kitchen? All the other appliances work.

Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the forums.

I'm not sure why they put neon lamps in all the plugs over there but they shouldn't be blowing up.

You said boiler......did you mean broiler. Are the oven and broiler two different units ?
Here we leave the oven/broiler plugged in.

Unless you're talking about a toaster oven or counter top broiler.

Are your power points loose ? That would cause issues.
