TII 442 Grounding Module use with Battery Backup Surge Protector?
Our VOIP phone system, after being ran through a power conditioner, transformer, etc..., is powered through a TII 442 Grounding Module with AC Outlet (37-05-5). The TII 442 has a green ground wire directly hooked up to the all-in-one digital phone system too.
Can the TII 442 grounding module plug into a battery backup surge protector? Will it work? Will it blowup?
We're experiencing our phones going out without resetting numerous times over the past month although we've had the system for many years. More than normal in the past month, to clarify.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!

What you should do is have an electrician run a #6 wire to the ground bar in the panel that feeds this system. The phone system should be run off a UPS.

The lazy phone system installer has already connected his ground to a receptacle. That’s where we’re starting from.…
And we’re trying to figure out how to get the phone system on a UPS. The main panel is at least 100’ away, at the far end of the building.
