Post light with sensor alternates on and off in daylight
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. My husband and I have a strange issue that has us both scratching our heads...
We have a post light out front that wasn't working since the day we bought our house. We replaced the lamp, light bulb, and light sensor. Now in daylight it alternates on and off every 20 seconds or so, and in darkness it stays on. Could the sensor be faulty to cause it to alternate when it should just be off? I just hope we didn't mis-wire it or something!
Any feedback is appreciated!

Actually I should clarify: Our sensor has a white wire (which I believe is the neutral). Here's a picture of the wiring (sorry it's blurry). I'm starting to believe we switched the red and black wires coming out of the sensor. http://i.imgur.com/aN0g1gO.jpg

Did you use an actual lamp post photo cell....the one that mounts thru the pole ?
Those usually have a neutral connection on them. It sounds like you may have a defective photo cell.
