Testing A Wire Connector to see if it's Bad

I think I have a bad wire connector but need to verify.

Plugged a UPS into it, UPS detect the difference between ground and neutral is greater than 15V.

The UPS is good cause when I plug it into a different outlet, no alarms. Hence, I suspect it's the other one.

With a multimeter, what probe do I need to insert where and check what to confirm it is such. I'm a MM noob

Note readings will be more accurate with an analog multimeter rather than a cheap digital.
  • Black to white
  • Black to ground
  • White to ground
