Pool Timer - turns off and stops

Pool Timer - turns off and stops

Intermatic T104
Run ok turns ON and turns off at correct time.
Stops when it turns off.
I reset the clock time it does the same the next day.
any ideas?

You have it wired backwards. If you don't hook up the "from breaker" and "to pump" wires to the correct terminals, the clock motor's leads end up connected to the load side of the switch, and therefore loses power when the switch turns off.

Assuming this is a 240v unit, the incoming line should be on terminals 1 & 3, the outgoing line to the pump should be on terminals 2 & 4.

Is this an old timer (been working ok for years) or one you just installed ?

You changed the timer or changed the wiring ?
If the wiring ..... was it incorrect ?

Changed the wiring like JersyMike said.
I will let you know if it works this afternoon.
