White Wire with Color Tape to Identify Conductors
I am making up a ten foot Liquid tight 3/4" conduit assembly. It will carry three #6 awg conductors for a 240 vac feed. I have a piece of #6 awg THHN white wire that is 40' long. Is it allowable to apply black and red electrical tape at the ends of the conductors to designate that there is a black, a red and a white conductor within the conduuit assembly?
Thanks

Sorry 'bout that.

Black, red and green, or 2 blacks and a green, or two reds and a green. An A/C condensing unit, if that's what you're supplying, does not require a neutral.
Save the white wire for another job.
