Buzzing

Separated from: http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-basement.html

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH.

I was about to call an electrician and get robbed when I just went outside and spread all the wires that went into the doorbell box that I had removed about 6 months ago and after a couple months after that this buzzing from the basement started on and off, I came inside after spreading the doorbell wires apart and the on and off buzz sound stopped!!!. I think there were 2 wires touching of the doorbell wires, of which there are like 8 of them or so as it was a 4 doorbell box that I just ripped off leaving all the wires hanging about 6 months ago.

IT WAS THE DAM DOORBELL WIRES!!!

I don't suppose you noticed this thread is over 6 years old.

You screwed up and got lucky and found it. While screwing up the electrical wiring in your home, you may have done the same thing with line voltage circuits which could burn your home down. That's OK though as long as some qualified electrician earning a living doesn't rob you!
