circuit breaker replacement

Anyone know where I can purchase an older style circuit breaker? Had a breaker switch in the main box go out. It's an older home, therefore older style switches. What do I do?

Do a Google search using the circuit breaker manufacturer, style number and amperage rating. There are several companies that sell old and refurbished circuit breakers.

Terminology: It is not a breaker switch. It is a breaker or circuit breaker.

What's the make and style. Should be right on the breaker.
What's the make of the panel?
Reason I ask is there's a few that have been recalled due to breakers melting instead of tripping.

Although there have been some circuit breaker recalls such as the counterfeit breakers, FPE Stab-Lok breakers (residential plug-in style) have never been recalled. Some industrial breakers by FPE were recalled and replaced with GE breakers in the early '80s. Siemens had a recall of some their QP plug-in breakers a couple years ago, check the stickies at the top of the forum.
