wiring in a dryer/washer

Bought this house about 6 years ago foreclosure and slowly redoing it. I want to put in a circuit for a 220v dryer and a 120v washer. I want to pull a permit for it but it looks like the previous owners started to redo the old knob and tube wiring. It all looks to be well done. It is all greenfield in the basement. My question is if I pull permit will they give me hard time about other wiring? because I am sure they didnt pull a permit for it.

They normally just inspect (and sign off on) work that is on the permit. Some inspectors will let it be known that they don't like what they see but unless there is a glaring issue you should have no problems.
