Troubleshooting AC conenction for elliptical machine

I'd love some help figuring out how to get my elliptical machine powered again. The part of the machine that connects to the AC adapter broke. I'll try to explain, but the attached photo might be better.

The part that is broken is a part coming from the machine. It was two metal pieces that were held together with plastic and that plastic broke. One metal piece is the rod-like part that goes inside the AC adapter. The other metal piece is a flatter piece that goes against the outside of the AC adapter. Presumably, the metal two pieces in contact with the inner and outer metal part of the AC adapter create a closed circuit (or something like that, obviously I'm not electrician).

I'm wondering if I need a new part? And if so, how I can source it? And what it would be called or how I would describe it?

Help would be VERY greatly appreciated.

That generic part is called a coaxial power jack.

If you post a make and model of the unit maybe I can locate a parts list.

They don't offer an online parts listing for the LS 8.0E only the T model which uses a direct plug in AC cord.

Contact them at the link below and tell them that you want the power input jack plate for your unit.

You can buy just that jack at some electronic stores and online but there are many sizes and it would only be a guess on my part.
