Moving an outlet away from the wall

I am building a bay window bench. There is an outlet that will be covered by the bench. I want to move the outlet to the outside of the bench. Is there a faceplate that i can run the wire through the old outlet hole, through conduit, then to the new outlet box?

Or, what is the best practice for moving an outlet away from the wall?

Thanks,

Tim

The old receptacle box must remain accessible. You can't just cover it up. Will the bench have a hinged top?

Yes it will be hinged. Can I add a junction box at the old receptacle, then tie in a conduit carrying the new line to the new receptacle?

Yes you can. You could even use armored cable. Put a blank cover with half inch knockout on the existing box and use a 90 AC connector off the cover plate.
