Cooper RF9534 and RF9542

Hello All,

I have racked my brain for hours with these stupid switches..

I have installed the switches 1 master and the other accessory dimmer exactly like in the wiring diagram. The master works fine (I only have one pot light connected of 16 so far) I can dim it up and down and turn it off and on. However the accessory dimmer just shows an orange LED and doesn't do anything??

I switched the blue wires .. nothing...

It could be possible that I have a dud - but I have another RF9542 and it's the same result.

Any thoughts??? Thanks

Welcome to the forums!

Interesting question. A link, or links, to the installation instructions for the specific ASPIRE controls you're working with might help us spot something.

I have installed the switches 1 master and the other accessory dimmer exactly like in the wiring diagram.
Describe the cables and wires in each box, and tell us which of those wires you've connected to each device.

Cooper

Thanks - good point!

Here is the PDF instruction sheet - I am using a two location setup.

I have attached pics at both ends. First picture is the accessory and the second is the master.

Thanks VERY much for your help.

That's the instructions for an RF9542 accessory dimmed. We'll need one for the other device too.

Thanks, but the pictures don't show how everything is connected and don't have any information about the cables and wires. Please answer the original request:

Each cable and each wire in each box. Which is power in and which is the feed to the fan/light. Which are the travelers. And how each is connected to each device.

Got it .. thanks for the reply..

As it turns out - if you don't have the minimum wattage load on the circuit it won't work.

Glad you got it, and thanks for the feedback. That outcome makes sense but isn't necessarily intuitive. Your posting of it may help a lot of other members and readers.
