Surplus wire in a circuit

I am going to move a junction box and some 14-2 in a circuit these weekend, I will have a about 6 feet of extra wire once done.

Should I cut out the surplus or is it ok to roll it and leave it between the floor beams?

I could not find anything in Simplified Wiring. Is there a set fast rule?

Thank you,

Is this a temporary move? If no, then there is no reason to retain the excess wire.

If the move is permanent, you could leave the extra, but I would consider it a poor practice.
