Panel Screw Replacement

I posted this awhile back and someone recommend Square D screw from Homers.
It's not the right pitch

I have a circa mid 80's Murray Panel.
Between the various contractors working on the house, I noticed the panel cover was held in place with 2 drywall screws...

Picked up the Suare D screws and pitch is not right.

Anyone know where I can get the correct pitch screw for a Murray Panel

Murray is now a division of Siemens. I would check with the Siemens/Murray distributor in your area. You can contact the company directly if that doesn't work.

You will need the model number of your panel when you ask.

Box stores carry an assortment of panel screws. Just remember they must be blunt on the end. Not sure if they would be a perfect match.

If they used drywall screws they may have messed up the threads, that why they do not fit.
Run a tap in it to fix the threads.

Threads are fine....the used fine thread sheetrock screws. It was all loosey-goosey. But the threads were just friction fit against the threads to keep the cover in place.

I might have to hit up the supply shop.

The only panel screw replacements I came across was a 6pk Square D Branded..

Current Murray/Siemens screws have a fine thread. Big box stores sometimes have them. Older Murray's had coarse threads but the new screws still work.

I can assure you that you won't find the old Arrow-Hart Murray panel cover screws. Your best bet is to find blunt tipped screws slightly larger than the holes and tap new threads.
