Where to get electricity for kitchen sink disposal?

I want to use a push button disposal switch to turn on/off the disposal. Inksinkerator makes a neat little button that you install flush on your counter that is wired to the disposal and then plugged directly into an electrical outlet.

My question is... Can I plug into the electrical outlet for the dishwasher? I have room. I just wanted to know if that would be a code violation since dishwashers are supposed to be on their own dedicated circuit.

Actually unless they have unusually high amp draws they can share a circuit.

Air conditioning interlocked subpanel?

I have a somewhat large Christmas lighting display and I am running into power issues with circuits breakers tripping as a result of the way my circuits are tied together. All my garage outlets are also tied to all my outdoor outlets and I only have 15A available. As it is, my chest freezer is in the garage and when my Christmas lights are on and the freezer compressor kicks on, the circuit trips. My solution is this: I want to use all the power that is available for my air conditioning circuit since I don't use it this time of year. Can I use this available winter power by adding some sort of interlocked subpanel wherein I cannot use both the air conditioner and the soon to be added lighting circuits at the same time?:helpme 2:Read More

Triple Tap and Conduit Bender question

Im going to the hardware store to pick up a screwdriver style triple tap to fix some stripped holes in junction boxes. Whats the correct size tap that I would need for outlet, switch and electrical boxes in general? (they usually can rethread 3 sizes like 6/32 8/32 10/32) Is there a better tool for this, one that can handle more sizes than just the 3 on an electricians triple tap? Also conduit benders, how long are the handles usually and they usually have 3/4" female threads correct?Read More
