4 out of 5 Outlets Dead, Need Help

I have reset the breaker. I have 5 outlets (in my living room) that are tied into a switch that has the top outlet hot with the switch. The lower outlet is always hot. 4 of the outlets has not power. The closest outlet to the switch is working, the other 4 have no power. I turned off power with the breaker and have removed the face plate and pulled the outlet out of the box. The left side has upper and lower screws with white wires both connected to the white wires in the box with a wire nut witch I removed and put back together. The right side has to leads screw black and red both are tight. Next outlet left side white wires connect right side red black connected. I have not pulled the other 3 outlets. Do I need a buy a meter or call the electrician?

What would be my next step besides calling a electrician.

You have made a good start . Check the other receptacles. Check all for voltage from hot to neutral and hot to ground. A $8-$15 analog multimeter would be a good tool for the necessary testing.
