Leviton outlet and switches

We just got done replacing old outlets in our house with Leviton prefered grade outlets. I was reading online on some forums Leviton is not highly regarded?

We thought they were suitable since that was the brand previously installed. Did we cut a corner here?

If you stay with the preferred or higher quality devices you should have no problem. Leviton makes the .50 bulk receptacles that aren't designed for high use.

I don't think I have heard the term "Preferred Grade" before. Does that appear on the packaging or in the catalog? Wiring devices are sometimes referred to as residential, commercial and industrial, but I believe Leviton uses "Commercial Grade" and "Specification Grade" terminology on most heavier duty devices. The "Commercial Grade" devices actually are "Specification Grade".

Leviton vs Legrande vs Cooper is like a Ford vs Chevy debate. Everyone has a preference.
