Connecting the output of multiple micro generators

I have two 3.6v micro hydro generators. I'd like to attempt to charge various (rechargeable) batteries. How do I connect the power output of both and regulate it to either 7 or 5 volts? What additional parts do I need? Any recommended batteries? Where can I find any additional, required parts?

I appreciate the education. Yes, I'm an electrical newbie but I'm learning. Please consider this a general educational, experimental type of little project. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums.

A little more info (specs) about the micro generators would be helpful.
We know they are 3.6v Is that AC or DC ? At what current ?

A simple 3 pin IC regulator will regulate the voltage at 1A of current.
5 volts is a common voltage. What uses 7 volts ?
