Circuit Breaker keeps tripping

it appears the electricity in our family room is controlled by 2 breakers..first one section would trip and I had to activate it now the other section does the same. What could be the cause..I dont have too much load on them

Welcome to the forums!

How old is the house? Is it a GFCI or AFCI breaker?
If they are not, there is normally two reasons what a breaker will trip, overcurrent (load) and short circuit. You say there is not much load on them but are there any space heaters?

You said on section tripped and then the other. Is this a two pole breaker?
