Outdoor L6-30R Cover Problems
The easiest way to describe the problem is to look at the photo of my L6-30 Outdoor Install

I am using this to plug in one of these Car EVSE Crargers

The Problem is that the cable is not flexible enough to arch around and close the weather protection cover. I believe this cover is the largest available (extends 4.5 inches for the cable to curve without stress)
So for now I have the cover partially open.
I would love to find a solution to this such as replacing the outlet with something like a 14-30R, then use the following adapter

I am not sure if this is allowed by code and wondering what an acceptable solution for this might be.

GE 30 Amp Temporary RV Power Outlet with Breaker-U013CP at The Home Depot
You might have to change the outlet to get the L6-30R and blank off the circuit breaker opening. If you consult a distributor, they may be able to find what you want with the L6-30R factory installed.
