bonding together PVC electrical conduit?
How do I bond together PVC electrical conduit? Is it the same primer and adhesive used in plumbing or something else? Thanks Roger

Yes....though I'm not sure primer is needed for conduit?

Just use PVC glue, no primer needed.

No primer. The cement is gray for PVC conduit not plumbing cement.

but you can use regular plumbing cement, right? I didn't know there was a different PVC cement and have used plumbing cement in the past - never had any failures that I know about.

We use the purple stuff for our plastic pipe runs. No worries with it, even after years.

I would basically agree with Ray, but don't see the harm in using a plumbing PVC cement. Actually, I have never seen primer used on PVC conduits, but Carlon does makes and recommend primer as well as a whole line of PVC cements.
