Circuit breaker main box
I have an open spot in my main box and I was told I could add a new circuit breaker to have a dedicated circuit for my microwave. 15 AMP would wire with 14/2 or 20 AMP with 12/2, would I just get a breaker for the size I need?

You would need a clamp on the cable where it enters the panel along with the correct single pole breaker. You also Ned the box, single receptacle and cover at the other end.

I posted some pictures of the spot in the box and the schematic, sorry they are not the best. The spot in the box would be where the 3 and 4 spots are on the schematic.
