Half of lights on same breaker are not working!!!

I had the bright idea to relocate a light switch in our garage. The task was to relocate it about 3 feet closer to the entrance. Not a problem...I thought!!! Turned the breaker off that powered that light switch (same breaker also powered interior dining room lights). Added Romex wiring to extend the length from the old location. Drilled hole in wall for new location, routed Romex to new location and tied up everything. Turned on breaker and the light switch worked fine. However, I noticed that the lights inside my house on the same breaker are not working...what gives? Checked all breakers and all are on.

Welcome to the forums!

I suspect you accidentally disconnected a wire in the original switch box. Check in there and if you can find the wire.

Square D 30A Disconnect Switch L211N -- Fused or Unfused -- Can it be Both?

I see a small inside use disconnect switch, and it seems to be advertised by various sellers as Fused or Unfused. (Same Model) What I am having trouble understanding is how the switch can be both. Is it possible to configure the Switch to be un-fused (still using the existing service panel breaker) and then just use it unfused by the equipment being served? Example - Easy way for anyone to shut off a seasonal use water heater where weeks pass by with out use -- and allowing anyone to use the switch right by the Water Heater rather than opening up the breaker panel. I would prefer [U]not [/U]to have both the panel breaker and switch be fused, just the panel breaker. Im running a 20A circuit for laundry. 2x12 I like to use the same 1/2" emt to run 2x14 for a 15A lighting circuit. Is it bad practice to mix the gauges in the same conduit?
