Question 3 to 2 Prong Adapter

Is it safe to plug a surge protector into the 3/2 prong adapter to protect my Sony Bravia Television?

The TV should work with no issues, are you sure the TV has a grounded cord? Many newer TV I have seen do not.

The ground is only there for safety to carry current during a fault. It does not serve any purpose during normal operation.

If your TV does have a grounded cord I recommend exploring if your home has a metallic wiring method that can be used as a ground. The adapters you posted only work a intended if they are properly installed.

What do you mean by safe? Without an earth ground connection most surge suppressors are useless.
