sub panel feed question

We have a 200amp main entry panel, outside and downstairs. It also feeds a few yard circuits, and a 100 amp sub panel.

Is the sub panel fed by a four wire setup? Neutral, ground, and two hots for 120v/240v service? If this is correct, then I assume the hots are 2 gauge wires.

It should be.

Neutral, ground, and two hots for 120v/240v service?
That would be correct.

If this is correct, then I assume the hots are 2 gauge wires.
They might be. The size of the wires would be dependent on the size of the breaker feeding them, whether they are copper or aluminum and the overall length of the feeder.
