Tripped Breaker Won't Reset

I tried searching for this problem and the best I could find was this: http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...ont-reset.html

However it doesn't really apply to my situation. I turned a light on in one of the bedrooms and the power immediately went out. I tried to reset the breaker but it's stuck in the tripped position. I haven't changed any wiring and did nothing other than turn the light switch. I've unplugged everything and still can't get it to work. The breaker for the room has tripped before and I had always been able to reset it. Is this caused by a short? How do I fix this?

Remove the wire from the breaker. If you still can't reset it replace the breaker.

Just be sure, are you turning the breaker off and then on to reset.
