Leaving surplus wire in the walls

I am about to close up a wall I had to open to install a new feeder panel.
There is surplus wire in the run, BX wire.
How much is too much to leave in the wall above the feeder panel?
I can shut the power and shorten the line in the morning, but I hope by lunch, I will have closed the drywall.

Thanks,

I like to leave enough wire to reach the bottom of the panel.

I guess I need to trim some more then. I have a 2 foot high figure 8 above the feeder panel.

edit:

Trimmed and stapled to the stud just above the panel, and ready to close the wall tomorrow.

Thank you Tolyn Ironhand
