THHN question

Im used to old rubber wiring in my old house. Ive been working with new stuff. The THHN has like a clear coating on the insulation. I noticed when pulling wire thru conduit, esp. with the #12 and #10, sometimes this coating gets nicked up.... not the colored insulation (no bare copper or anything) but the clear coating perhaps from bending etc.

I esp. noticed this when pulling (or pushing rather) thru 3/8 MC.

Is that OK? Or something that needs replacement?

That is just a nylon coating to make the wire more slippery. As long as the insulation itself is not damaged you are good.
