Another dimming of lights

I noticed that my lights dimmed ever so faintly when my electric 240 volt dryer first kicks on. Its like a split second "difference" in light.

Is this normal voltage drop? I ask because its a 240 appliance and I am unclear.

Yes it is normal.

All 120 volt circuits use one leg of the 240 plus in addition to the 240 heat you have the 120 volt motor that draws 3 or more times it's running amps when it first starts.

Yes.... a slight dimming is normal every time the heating element comes on. The element is a good sized load. The element also cycles to maintain the proper heat level so you may see the lights occasionally flicker anytime during the dryer cycle.
