Wiring Help

Your help is much appreciated. I don't have much electric knowledge. I was moving some TV wiring around a junction box and noticed one copper wire showing. I am not sure if I bumped something and knocked something loose.
Don't think I did.

In this picture below it is the copper wire that is exposed to the left outside the junction box. Should I be concerned? Does it look like something that should be connected?

Thank you.

Yes.... that is a type NM cable (romex) and the white sheath needs to be at least 1/2" inside the plastic box. Then after the box is fastened the romex should be fastened/stapled within 6" of the box. That bare copper wire is the ground wire and needs to be attached to any other bare cables entering that box as well as to the receptacle, if installed.

The cable needs to be stapled within 8 inches of where it enters the box.
