Furnace Circuit question

So some knucklehead wired an outlet and a lighting fixture off the furnace circuit in my house. There were 3 splicing points on the circuit. I ran new wire thru one of the boxes (unspliced) but when I was done, I now have two splices in the circuit between the breaker and the disconnect switch at the furnace.

Is this a bad thing or against standards for a dedicated circuit such as a furnace?

Thats fine. Nothing bars splices in a dedicated circuit.
