Add a 2nd ceiling lights to garage

Hi all. I am new to the forum. I have some basic electrical knowledge being my dad was a licensed electrician. My question is I would like to add a 2nd ceiling light to my garage. It already has one towards the front and I need one towards the back. After observing my layout it seems to add the 2nd ceiling light would require me to go through 2-3 wood beams that support my second floor to
tap into the front existing ceiling light. I do have a second 2-way switch towards the back of my garage. Is it easier to tap into that switch that turns on/off the light in the front. It seems a lot of trouble to go through 2-3 wood beams to tap into existing front part ceiling light. Let me know what you all think. Townhouse is fairly new, 5 years old. New construction.

I will add pics later.

Welcome to the forums.

You either have a single pole switch or a three way switch.

If you want the second light to be switched the same way as the first light.... then you need to connect to the first light.
