Power to our well

our well is located 100 feet from the house. The only way to turn the power on and off to the well is by flipping the breaker. Is there a way to wire a on/off switch inside the well house? If so....what kind of switch do you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

The well house should have a disconnect in it to begin with, so yes, you can install it. Not an off/on switch, but a pull type disconnect, probably $10 at box stores. Oh, welcome to the forums. GE 60-Amp 240-Volt Non-Fuse Metallic AC Disconnect-TFN60RCP at The Home Depot is an example.

The AC pullout is the cheapest option. The are also disconnect switches that look like a breaker inside. A 2 pole switch could also be used.
