Circuit Breaker Box

I just removed a spa from my back yard. It was connected to a 220 circuit wired directly to my Breaker Box. After disconnecting the wires the electrician put the same switch back into the box although it is not connected. Is this safe?

If it's not connected, I don't see how it can hurt anything.

I think you are asking is the wiring is safe to leave in a pullout disconnect. The answer is yes, for extra safety you can turn off the breaker in the panel.

Welcome to the forums.

You have a 120v/240v service there.

Yes....it is perfectly safe to leave an unused breaker in the panel. It can be left in the off position although turning it on will do nothing.
