inside, an outdoor, Brick Pillar wiring to light and outlet

Hello all,

Iím installing an outdoor patio, I will have a few brick columns Name: 1a sm.jpg

that I plan on putting a some clam-shell lights and an electrical outdoor outlet.

I have used ĺ PVC conduit that comes up out of the ground into the inside area of the pillar. Name: 2a sm.jpg

My question is what do I need or should use after the end of the pipe coming out of the ground to go to the outlet if anything at all? And I will have a 4x4 post coming out of the center of the pillar to an outdoor post mounted light.

Do I need to have the wires encased all the way into the outlet when they are inside the pillar?

Thanks for your comments

If you are using individual conductors the conduit needs to be a complete system. If you are using UF cable the conduit can just be a sleeve as shown. A bushing would still be needed on the conduit ends.
