2 hot 2 neutral outlet
I just replaced a power outlet in my hallway with a LED nightlight. The old outlet had a ground, 2 hot, and 2 neutral wires connected. The new LED nightlight only has screws for a ground, one hot, and one neutral.
I capped off the extra hot and neutral and reset the breaker. The nightlight works great but all the power to the adjacent bedroom is now out. What should I do with the hot and neutral that I capped off, because they seem to be part of the circuit powering the bedroom. Can I pigtail them, then connect them both to the new LED nightlight?

Welcome to the forums!
Yes, connect all the black wires together and run a pigtail to the nightlight. Do the same for the white and ground wires pigtailing each. Black to the brass screw, white to the silver screw, and ground to the green screw.
