Outdoor fixtures inside

Kind of a silly question maybe.

I installed an outside wall lantern on a wall in the stairwell to my basement. It takes 100W bulb... im using a CFL.

Silly question, is it OK to do so?

Concentric Knockout question

I had to use the concentric knockout in 2 1900 box for a circuit I ran with 1/2 emt. Is using the 1/2" hole on these concentrics any less secure than using the ones that don't have them? Secure from a strength perspective and from a grounding perspective. I was going to go as far as replacing the box to avoid using them... hopefully that wasn't necessary.Read More

gfci outlet not working

Storm went through a few nites ago and the GFCI in kitchen pop. This GFCI has three loads and the phone is connected to the GFCI. outlet. if I have the loads on it will blow the breaker in the elec. box. I have checked the three outlets and fine no problems with them. If I connect only the two wires I have power in in the GFCI. whats going on These are all only about a year and half old. Working fine until now. Nothing else was effect in the house. We have one other GFCI in our bathroom and its good.Read More
