BD 1520 14-4 wire?

I have a CH BD2020 breaker that states it's rated for 14-4 wire, does that mean it can have 2 14awg wires under each lug for a total of 4 14awg wires? My apologies if this sounds like a stupid question but I'm just not sure?

14-4 means that the lugs can handle wire size #14 through #4.

It would be unusual to see a 20A breaker able to handle #4 or #6 or #8 wiring.

I agree, the 14-4 is simply a range of wire sizes. One wire per lug.

Have you seen the opening on a BR breakers lug? They are pretty dang big! Not sure why somebody would want to install #4 on a 20 amp breaker. Perhaps they are all the same size for 15 - 50 amp.

It's probably to save tooling costs. Plus I'm sure someone put #4 on a 20A before, people do like to waste money.
