mini knockouts in bottom of panel

Just curious, in my electrical panel, along the bottom there are two very small knockouts (much smaller than a 1/2"). I cant imagine any sort of conduit or wire being attached there.

Are these perhaps weep/drain holes?

Nope...not weep holes. Those are there for grounding wires. At one time the ground wires were just passed thru those holes. For the most part now a regular NM wire connector is used for the ground wire.

I see... thanks. They would make for convenient weep holes though in case of water intrusion. Or are panels made to have provision to drain... as in the corners or something?

Well..... to be honest.... panels aren't supposed to get water in them but usually they'll drain from the bottom corners which aren't sealed. I guess if you get a flood there you could pop out those mini knockouts.
