attach plastic clamp in junction afterwards
I have some plastic clamps used to hold nm cable in a round knockout from a junction box. Is there a way to apply these retroactively without disconnecting the wires as I hev found one that doesn't have it in place? I guess chances are slim that the metal would cut the wire. Is it easier to apply the metal clamp ones that split in half?
Secondly, some junction boxes/gangboxes have a rectangular knockout but the clamp inside the gangbox. They don't seem to make rectangular clamp holders so can't these knockouts cut the wire?

Some plastic cable clamps are able to be installed after the cable is in the box.
If the metal box has clamps inside the box this is how the cables are secured. There is no need for an additional clamp.

In the picture below is a plastic connector from Arlington. It can be installed afterwards.
