Ceiling Fan

I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan. I turned it on yesterday and it started than stop. The light comes on, the fan will not turn.

Is both the fan and the light on the same switch ?

yes. both are on same switch. the light and fan are one unit.

Then we know the power (neutral and hot)is arriving at the fan/light, the only thing you can do is to recheck the wiring at the fan/light location both at the ceiling box and if a detachable light kit, check the wiring at the bottom for wires that have become loose. I only other thing is the pull spring switches (if it has any) if they have a problem. If the switches check out (pull string at the fan) and there is no loose connections, a possible fan motor failure ?

try the rotation switch, little black job, on the side. sometimes they fall out of contact...
