Adding outlet off another circuit

I want to add an outlet in my closet. There is an outlet, light, and switch in the attic directly above the closet, it is configured in the manner shown in the diagram.

What would be the best option to add an outlet? I was thinking about connecting the new wires into the incoming power at the outlet and using a pigtail to connect the outlet back up, but that would be a lot of wire to stuff back in there. Or I could make a junction box just below the outlet and split off there I guess

Additional Receptacle

Perhaps you need a larger box at the receptacle in the attic.
