When pulling new cable through holes in joists and around corners and up to a new fixture, how much can you twist and bend the wire without any problems?
The copper seems strong enough to handle a few gentle curves before being pulled straight again?

You pull the cable in segments so the bending is limited to the final shapes. Copper work hardens until it reaches a point of fatigue.
