Dc power adapter cable through wall then out by outlet?

I have a couple questions and maybe could get a couple suggestions on if anything better can be done easily.

I am looking to install a few WiFi security cameras and they run off of a DC power adapter.

According to standard electrical code can low voltage DC power adapter (wire only) be ran inside a wall? I know local codes will vary.

I was thinking of running the wire down inside the wall and come out near the AC outlet so I can plug in the power adapter.

Do they make outlet covers with a 1/4-5/16 round hole at a corner or anyway to make a neat looking installation?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The wiring from the wall wart is most likely not rated for in wall use.
