Hi - I am working on a home electrical project and am having difficulty wiring it together. Original Configuration: 1 switch - 1 receptacle (1/2 switched, 1/2 continuously powered). On the Switch side there is 2 wire romex (Black, White and bare). Objective: Keep the switched receptacle in place and add a ceiling light on a dedicated switch. I've added an electrical box to the ceiling and ran 2 wire romex (Black, White and bare) from the ceiling to the switch and upgraded the electrical box to a 2 gang box, but am having difficulty wiring it all together so each switch operates independently (1 switch to operate the receptacle and 1 switch to operate the ceiling light) Does anybody have a wiring diagram or explanation on how to wire what I am looking to do? Hi, Recently I got the "maker" bug. I would like to create some electronic toys or gadgets. For that, I need a plastic case that will secure the circuit board, switch, batteries, and other small parts. For circuit board I found very good tutorials and software, which allow me to design and order customized circuit board. However, I can only find some 3D software like tinkerCAD to design a plastic case. I have difficulty to find good resources on how to design a robust, stylish, and safe gadget case. I am such a newbie in case design that I do not even know the terms in this field. So my google search got me nowhere. I know there are many excellent design studio that could help. But I would like to release the "Jony Ives" inside me, or to find out how unreachable Jony Ives is to me. For example, no human being can reach the sky without tools. But it is fun to jump around and find out what is like for human being to try. Thanks for advance.
